No Crying In Nursing!!!
"Nurses dispense comfort, compassion, and caring without even a prescription."  ~Val Saintsbury
I have been a Register Nurse for 13 years. In all these years there has always been a reason to want to cry. I usually don't, but what I eventually do is cope alone. I am interested in creating a place for nurses, their family, friends and even people interesting in becoming nurses to share their experiences, sad, funny and inspiring. As a nurse I have been a student, new grad, med/surg nurse and ICU nurse. I am also a mother, wife, sister, and child.
It is all these roles together that make it difficult for working nurses to cope with the many demands of the field. OK we all get it, you can't fall apart at the seems when things get hard. What has always been tough is the sense that it's not ok to feel. Nurses come in all types of personalities. My goal here is to provide resources for practical, clinical and emotional support for nurses.
Resolving issues and finding solutions are what nurses do best for others. Lets try and do that for each other as well here. Through my experience and education I have encountered many things that are not in a text book anywhere. I'm sure you have also. I invite you to share your experiences and use this site as a sounding board.
